How to take this photo - general

Make sure your child has clean hands and face.
Comb the hair neatly to ensure no stray strands. Make sure hair is not covering their face.
Ensure outfit suits your chosen background
Use a smartphone or digital camera, do not use an iPad or other tablet to take the photo.
Take the photo during the day in a bright room (no direct sunlight).
Take the photo vertically holding the camera/phone straigth at 90 degree angle.
Keep the camera at eye level so you are looking neither up nor down. You may have to crouch to do this.
Photograph your child completely from head to toe.
Take lots of photo. You can choose 3-5 to send to us and we will pick the most appropriate.

How to take a photo for this background

This background is not suitable for newborns, see below for more info.
Sit your fairy in front of a wall, sitting sideways . If you have a lantern, hold the lantern and ask your fairy to look at it. If you do not have a lantern, ask your fairy to put their hand out.
I can add elements such as wings, but it's best to choose a photo where the subject is dressed in clothing that suits the theme you've chosen.
This is available in Colour, midnight or Sepia. IMAGE WILL BE SENT IN COLOUR UNLESS OTHERWISE REQUESTED. Please leave a message in customer comments if you would like Midnight or Sepia effect.

How to send your photo

When paying for your purchase, please ensure you complete all details especially your email address. You can then either email your photo directly to me at legendstudiosderby@gmail.com or if you would prefer to send by secure mail, I can send you a link to upload to drop box. Any questions do not hesitate to ask.

Please allow 3 to 5 days for your image to be created. If you need it in a hurry, please let me know, I can usually accommodate.
We will need a photo which is ideally at least 3MP - any smaller and the quality may not be enough to give a good finished result, so please do not download photos from facebook or other social media. An ordinary photo taken directly on your phone is fine - but it does need to be good quality, and showing the person in a suitable position for your chosen Portrait (see below). For best results take the photo against a plain wall.
About your image or photo

Your digital image will be high resolution 300dpi print ready file, which you can use to print photos, canvases, t-shits and other wonderful gifts. PLEASE NOTE THAT STANDARD PACKAGES WILL NOT RECIEVE A PHYSICAL PRODUCT.

In addition, Premium and Platinum customers will recieve high quality photo prints. Plus a short 12 second motion clip.

Platinum customers will als recieve a canvas.

This is for 1 child in the photo.
Standard customers - Within 3-5 days we send you your edited photo via email. You will recieve a digital file in High resolution (300DPI) which you can print in any quantity you want at your local print store or online.

Premium and Platinum customers - As above you will get your digital file within 3-5 days. Standard and Premium prints will also be sent out within 5 day. Post should arrive 3-5 days after this in the UK. For outside UK please contact for shipping times. For postage outside the UK, please check our terms and conditions.

Platinum Customers - UK ONLY Please allow 10 days extra for your Platinum canvas to arrive. It will be sent separately from your prints.Please allow extra time at Christmas.
